KraussMaffei unveiled an all-electric PXZ 121 multinject at the 2024 Fakuma International Trade Fair for Plastics Processing, which was held in Friedrichshafen, Germany from Oct. 15 to 19, showcasing cutting-edge technologies?in sustainable manufacturing.

The PXZ 121 multijet features technologies?such as sandwich injection molding and upgraded APC plus?(adaptive process control). APC?plus is a unique digital tool that uses material-specific compression curves for precise process control. By integrating material-specific parameters from Elix Polymers,?a member?of?Sinochem International, it optimizes the injection molding process, enhances processing efficiency, and offers a wide range of material choices. The PXZ 121 multinject is highly flexible, capable of handling single-component, two-component, or sandwich injection molding processes while maintaining high product quality and cost-effectiveness.

At the exhibition, KraussMaffei presented product samples manufactured using the PXZ 121 machine. These samples featured a combination of mechanically recycled polycarbonate (PC) or acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) from Elix Polymers for the internal material and chemically recycled and regenerated ABS for the outer layer, fostering collaboration between?the materials and?equipment?industrial chains and driving forward the green and circular economy.
