Honeywell Sinochem Environmental Materials Supplies Ultra-low GWP Refrigerant to Volvo
Volvo Cars announced on July 11 that it will use the latest generation of car refrigerant HFO-1234yf with the brands Jinleng® and Susijing® in the Chinese market. The refrigerant is a product from Honeywell Sinochem Lantian Environmental Materials Co., Ltd. (“Honeywell Sinochem Environmental Materials”). This cooperation between Volvo Cars and Honeywell Sinochem Environmental Materials marks a new stage in the application of HFO-1234yf in the Chinese automobile market.
The GWP (Global Warming Potential) of HFO-1234yf refrigerant is less than 1, much lower than the HFC refrigerant commonly used in the domestic market. With reduction of GWP by 99.9%, this refrigerant can effectively help automakers meet the increasingly stringent regulations for automobile air conditioning refrigerants.
